Job Description

Our client is a global outsourcing provider of integrated supply chain services associated with maintenance, repair and overhaul activities in large manufacturing facilities. They partner with leading multinational organisations, providing expert on-site solutions and fostering strong relationships with both clients and suppliers through effective communication and exceptional service.Currently, they are looking for an experienced Buyer to join their team in Seelze, Germany. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring engineering, facility, and manufacturing spare parts and services, negotiating optimal commercial terms, and driving cost reduction initiatives in a customer-facing, fast-paced environment.Job Profile for BuyerResponsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Respond to purchase requisitions for ad-hoc (spot buy) and inventory-controlled items in a timely mannerSource and procure engineering, facilities, and manufacturing equipment, spare parts and servicesRaise and process purchase orders accurately within the company systemExpedite order deliveries and maintain up-to-date delivery promise dates in the systemEnsure on-time delivery of goods through effective supplier monitoring and performance managementIdentify and implement cost reduction initiatives through price negotiations or approved product substitutionsTrack and report cost savings accurately within the company systemResolve non-conforming delivery issues and coordinate returns for credit or replacementCandidate Profile for BuyerMust be fluent in German and English, both written and spokenGood knowledge of engineering, maintenance, and factory consumables product groupsExperience working within a demanding manufacturing environment where continuity of production is criticalKnowledge of and practical experience with INCOTERMSGood understanding of domestic and European supply chains for engineering, maintenance, and factory consumablesStrong negotiating skillsAbility to source both current production and obsolete products effectivelyProven ability to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, including price reductions, approved product substitutions, and product standardisationArticulate, numerate, and system-literateKnowledge of inventory control processesWhat Our Client OffersAttractive compensation packageOpportunity to work in a global speciality materials company with a strong industrial footprint in EuropeDynamic, hands-on environment with opportunities for professional growth and development within the supply chain and procurementJoin a collaborative and experienced team in a stable manufacturing setting, focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence
