Job Description:The Faculty of Design, Arts, and Performance at the FLAME University is seeking a dynamic and qualified individual for a full-time position as an Assistant Professor in Visual Communication with expertise in software, digital media and strong visual storytelling, design thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration.Responsibilities:The successful applicant will teach courses from among the following areas: graphic design, typography, motion design, digital portfolio creation, or other courses as required by the faculty of design.Conduct research in the field of visual communication and digital media and actively pursue external funding opportunities. Advise and mentor students in the Visual Communication program, including assisting with research projects and creative workContribute to departmental and university service activities, such as serving on committees and participating in eventsMaintain an active and engaged presence in the field of visual communication and digital media, such as presenting at conferences and publishing research in relevant journals.Qualifications:A Ph.D. (awarded or thesis submitted) in Visual Communication or a related field. Demonstrated expertise in software like Adobe Suite and Figma with experience in digital media.Strong teaching skills and a commitment to excellence in educationExcellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skillsEvidence of scholarly achievement, including publications and grants in the field of visual communication.
