We seek a Senior/Principal Backend Software Engineer with leadership past. You will work closely with the product owner, area architect, and your team members to clarify business needs and technical requirements and define how to support them best. As our Senior/Principal Backend Software Engineer:with your Team and Product Owner, you will work in a challenging Agile environment in close collaboration with other teams.you will lead in the team’s technical/architectural discussions and decisions.you will develop and continuously deliver applications for one of the most successful pet e-commerce platforms in Europe.you will participate in the complete software development life cycle from discovery through coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.daily, you will learn and grow your skills, striving for mastery using state-of-the-art technologies and practices such as AWS, Microservices, Docker and much more!MUST HAVE QualificationsExcellent English verbal and written communication skillsAround 10 years of invaluable experience in Software Development in JVM related languagesExperience and exposure in Apache Camel ,Microservices, AWS, lambda Kibana, Elastic etc.A profound understanding of software engineering and design fundamentals, complemented by hands-on design and development expertiseA track record of successful technical leadershipExpertise in agile methodologies and practicesExperience working in an internationally distributed environmentAny experience with development of an integration platform will be a plusNice to haveGood understanding of software architecture principles and design patternsExperience in the e-commerce domain.Modelling experience (UML, C4)ResponsibilitiesHave a strong commitment to maintaining a high standard of technical excellence by emphasizing best practices and industry trendsActively code and contribute to ongoing features and issuesProvide team leadership, technical guidance, and direction for integration platformWork with all stakeholders and enterprise architects to come up with the road mapCollaborate with different stakeholders, run the scrum, manage the backlogSupport your teams as an agile driver & coach of the software delivery processActively participate in the recruitment and retention process, ensuring a healthy composition of the teamMonitor and optimize budget costs related to product expenses, such as AWS, licenses etc.
