This Indian company will be the Lexitas Global Capability Center, helping build a world class IT development team, and over time serve as a Shared Services hub for several of the corporate functions.For More Information - is a Full-Time Job located in Chennai, India.We are seeking a Lead Data Steward to support enterprise data initiatives by ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and quality of data pipelines across data platforms. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in ETL/ELT development, data quality practices, and data management principles to help establish trusted data foundations that drive business intelligence, analytics, and operational reporting.This role will be a critical part of our global data team, working closely with US-based stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to build scalable data integration processes, support data governance efforts, and enhance our cloud-based data architecture.Key Responsibilities:Design and maintain efficient ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and deliver high-quality data across systems.Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within cloud data platforms (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses).Implement and monitor data quality rules, validation checks, and exception handling.Collaborate with US-based teams to align data delivery with business and reporting requirements.Document data processes, standards, and lineage to support governance and compliance.Identify automation opportunities in data validation, cleansing, and monitoring.Troubleshoot data issues and implement corrective actions to maintain trust in enterprisedata assets.Transform raw, complex data into actionable insights through effective visualization techniques.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field.10+ years of experience in ETL/ELT development and data integration projects.Proven experience working in offshore teams supporting US-based enterprise data initiatives.Solid understanding of data quality principles, data governance concepts, and master data management.Proficient in SQL and scripting for data transformation and troubleshooting.Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Informatica, or dbt.Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, etc.).Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate across time zones.Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting legal, insurance, or financial services data systems.Familiarity with Power BI or other BI platforms for validation and testing.Understanding of compliance and data privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
