Role Title - Head - Data & AnalyticsReporting into: Global Chief Information OfficerKey Responsibilities:Data Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the company's business objectives, encompassing data governance, data architecture, data analytics, and data infrastructure.Data Governance and Compliance: Establish robust data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements etc. Monitor adherence to data standards and best practices.Data Analytics and Insights: Lead the development of advanced analytics capabilities to derive actionable insights from structured and unstructured data sources. Drive the adoption of predictive analytics, machine learning, and AI techniques to optimize decision-making processes and drive business growth.Data Infrastructure and Technology: Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of data management platforms, data warehouses, and other technologies to support data processing, storage, and analysis needs. Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of innovation.Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across departments such as marketing, sales, operations, and IT to understand business requirements and prioritize data initiatives that deliver maximum value. Foster a data-driven culture and promote data literacy throughout the organization.Talent Development: Build and lead a high-performing data team, including data analysts, engineers, and architects. Provide mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities to cultivate a culture of continuous learning and innovation.Performance Measurement: Define KPIs and metrics to assess the effectiveness of data initiatives and track progress towards strategic goals. Develop reports and dashboards to communicate insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.15+ years of business experience, ideally in information or IT management, recently at the executive level.Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.Strong business acumen and the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for executive decision-making.Proven track record of leadership in implementing data strategies and driving business outcomes in the retail or consumer goods industry.Deep understanding of data management principles, including data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data security.Strong understanding of data modelling, schema design, and database architecture principles.Experience working in an environment with technologies/solutions PowerBI, Data warehousing or cloud based data solutions.Influencing and emotional intelligence: For example, by asserting ideas and persuading others to gain support across an organization or to adopt new behaviours.
