Key Responsibilities:1. Supply Chain Strategy & Planning:Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.Optimize procurement, inventory management, and distribution processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement.Collaborate with senior management to define supply chain goals and ensure alignment with overall business strategies.2. Procurement & Vendor Management:Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and services required for pump manufacturing.Develop and maintain relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve the best pricing, quality, and service terms.Identify and onboard new suppliers to expand the vendor base and mitigate supply risks.Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.3. Inventory & Warehouse Management:Ensure optimal inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.Implement effective inventory control measures, including cycle counts and regular audits.Supervise warehouse operations to streamline storage, picking, and dispatching processes.Implement and monitor FIFO (First In, First Out) and other inventory management practices.4. Logistics & Distribution:Oversee the logistics and transportation network to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.Optimize route planning and freight management to minimize transportation costs.Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations for exports.5. Team Leadership & Development:Lead and mentor the supply chain team, including purchasing managers, warehouse staff, and logistics coordinators.Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and identify training and development needs.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.6. Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and company policies.Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.Oversee supplier audits and quality checks to maintain product integrity.Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, specifically in the pump industry.Proven track record of optimizing supply chain operations and reducing costs.Expertise in ERP systems, procurement software, and supply chain management tools.Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.Preferred Attributes:Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into supply chain strategies.Proficiency in inventory management systems and data analytics.Ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines under pressure.Hands-on experience with pump manufacturing processes is a plus.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Supplier performance metrics (on-time delivery, quality compliance).Inventory turnover ratio and accuracy.Cost savings achieved through procurement strategies.Lead time reduction and order fulfillment rate.Compliance with regulatory standards.
