The ideal candidate will have deep experience with semiconductor packaging and testing processes, a strong understanding of MES solutions, and a passion for continuous improvement in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.Key Responsibilities:Lead MES strategy for the assembly and test operations of semiconductor products, aligning with global initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.Oversee MES deployment, configuration, and support across various assembly, package, and test platforms in a high-mix, high-volume environment.Work closely with R&D, engineering, and operations teams to ensure that the MES system integrates seamlessly with automated test equipment (ATE), robotic handling systems, and packaging tools.Ensure real-time data collection, traceability, and quality compliance through the MES system, supporting customer-specific requirements Manage system integration between MES, ERP (e.g., SAP), PLM, and test data management systems, ensuring smooth data flow across the enterprise.Experienced in equipment automation using SECS/GEM and CPIB – Auto trackin and out, automated data collection, auto validations, recipe name validationsExperienced in implementing RMS (Recipe Management System) in Assembly and Test manufacturing plant Collaborate with quality assurance (QA) and process engineering teams to implement effective yield analysis, failure analysis, and continuous improvement using MES data.Oversee the design and implementation of KPIs to measure system performance, on-time delivery, throughput, and quality metrics.Optimize MES systems for equipment utilization, test time reduction, and real-time fault detection to meet customer delivery requirements and reduce downtime.Ensure that MES solutions support regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, customer-specific audits), including proper data retention and traceability.Lead and mentor a team of MES professionals, supporting their career development and driving a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Experienced in implementing SPC – lot and equipment SPCImplement OEE dashboard to measure equipment usage effectiveness Oversee vendor management, ensuring the MES platform meets the evolving needs of the assembly/test environment and stays up to date with industry trends.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.15+ years of experience in semiconductor assembly, test, and packaging with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role focused on MES within an OSAT or semiconductor manufacturing environment.In-depth knowledge of semiconductor assembly and testing processes, including wire bonding, molding, die attach, testing (ATE), and final packaging.Hands-on experience with MES platforms such as Camstar/OpCenter, Eyelit, Critical Manufacturing, SiView or other industry-specific systems used in assembly and test environments.Strong understanding of real-time data acquisition from test equipment, robotic handling, and automated systems for manufacturing, assembly, and test.Expertise in data integration with equipment (e.g., ATEs, test handlers, pick-and-place machines) and enterprise systems like ERP, PLM, and inventory management.Proven experience in driving yield improvement, cycle time reduction, and cost control through MES initiatives.Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with data analytics tools or platforms, such as Big Data, Machine Learning, or AI-based fault detection systems in assembly/test operations.Hands-on experience with test data management tools Ability to lead MES-related process automation and robotic integration projects including AMHS Experience in customer interaction and understanding of the customer’s requirements for product traceability, reliability, and testing.Working Environment:Fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on continuous improvement.Ability to work across multiple sites with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, production, IT, and business operations).Occasional travel to customer sites or external vendors for system integration, audits, or troubleshooting.
