Job SummaryAs a Design Engineer – NPD, you will be responsible for the design, development, analysis, and validation of mechanical and pneumatic components and systems. This includes both 2D and 3D modelling, preparing parts lists, and creating technical documentation. Your role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams including suppliers, production, purchase, and quality, to ensure successful development and introduction of new products.Key Responsibilities:Design and development of mechanical and pneumatic components (2D/3D modelling, parts lists, and data sheets)Conducting design calculations and simulationsManaging new product development (NPD) processes and special purpose machine (SPM) projectsPerforming technical feasibility studies for assembly and testingSupporting production with changes, cost optimizations, and quality improvementSupporting the introduction of serial productsOptimizing and converting existing designs to English 3D drawingsParticipating in product development committeesCreating and tracking project time schedules and cost plansHandling change processes and engineering change documentationCoordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders (production, quality, purchase) for sampling, concessions, and complaint resolutionsAdhering to company policies and standards of quality and accuracyPromoting innovation, continuous improvement, and flexibility in design and development processesRequirements: 4 to 6 years of experience in the following: Design & development of componentsNew product development (NPD)Special purpose machine (SPM) designMachine, valve, and PUPM designHands-on experience with mechanical calculations and simulationsProficiency in 3D CAD software: Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalentGood understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Ability to interact with suppliers and cross-functional teamsStrong time management, planning, and problem-solving skillsCreativity and initiative in improving processes, systems, or productsBachelor’s degree (BE) in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) with relevant experience
