Job Description:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our Environmental & Sustainability Division. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of both technical and commercial aspects, with a focus on environmental, social, and sustainability fields. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in climate change, green energy, and large infrastructure projects. This position involves client engagement, proactive sales, market expansion, team leadership, and managing high-value projects with private and government clients.Key Responsibilities:Client Engagement & Sales:Identify potential clients, understand their specific needs, and recommend customized testing solutions for their products.Drive proactive sales strategies, ensuring smooth execution of projects from initiation to completion.Business Growth & Development:Expand the company's market reach by networking and identifying new business opportunities.Focus on acquiring large-scale projects, securing projects with budgets of at least 1 crore from both private and government sectors in environmental, social, and sustainability consulting.Leadership & Team Management:Oversee operations within the assigned region, ensuring efficient and successful project delivery.Lead and manage the entire team to ensure alignment with organizational goals.Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.Manage bidding processes and coordinate project execution plans to ensure high-quality delivery.Sustainability & Compliance Expertise:Ensure adherence to international sustainability and environmental guidelines, including:Asian Development Bank Safeguard Policy Statement (ADB-SPS, 2009)International Finance Corporation Performance Standards (IFC-PS, 2012)World Bank Environmental and Social Standards (WB-ESS, 2018)KfW Sustainability GuidelinesCarbon & Sustainability Expertise (Preferred):Possess knowledge in carbon management, greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, sustainability assurance, and GHG Protocol.Marketing & Presentations:Lead marketing efforts, including business development activities, presentations, and other promotional initiatives for the Environmental & Sustainability Division.Revenue & Sales Targets:Ensure an annual order booking of at least INR 12.50 crore for environmental, social, and sustainability services, with a monthly sales target of INR 70–75 lakh.Project Management:Independently manage projects from initiation to successful delivery, ensuring timeliness, quality, and client satisfaction.New Business Development:Identify and onboard at least three new clients, services, or sectors in environmental consulting each year.Key Requirements:Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in a similar role, with demonstrated experience in business development, sales, and project management in environmental, social, or sustainability sectors.Expertise: Knowledge of climate change, green energy, carbon management, and large-scale infrastructure projects.Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams and oversee large projects.Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of international sustainability standards and guidelines.Sales & Marketing: Strong sales and business development skills with a proven track record of hitting sales targets.
