Welcome to the forefront of space innovation with Skyroot Aerospace!Purpose of the Role:We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Legal Associate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of legal documents, including customer and vendor agreements. Knowledge of space law and statutory compliance is a strong advantage. This role will also involve handling due diligence, ensuring legal compliance, and assisting with secretarial activities.Responsibilities:1) Drafting and Vetting of Agreements:Draft and review customer agreements (experience in the space sector is highly advantageous).Draft and vet vendor agreements, including those related to procurement, logistics, and services.2) Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs):Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs with external stakeholders.3) Space Law Expertise:Understand and interpret space laws, working closely with space authorities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.4) Statutory Compliance:Ensure compliance with various statutory requirements, including but not limited to:Factories ActEnvironmental ActsPetroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO)Labour LawsOversee timely filing of statutory returns.5) Due Diligence:Conduct and manage legal due diligence for various business transactions.6) Secretarial Support:Assist with company secretarial duties and ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements.Qualifications:1. Education:Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent). A Master’s degree in Law (LLM) would be an added advantage.2. Experience:3+ years of experience in legal drafting and compliance. Experience in the space sector is a plus.3.
