Job Title: API Integration Developer – FintechAbout the Role:-We're looking for a skilled API Integration Developer with a passion for fintech innovation and compliance-driven architecture. You'll play a key role in building a scalable backend platform powered by third-party integrations, helping us deliver seamless financial services while staying compliant with FINTRAC and PIPEDA regulations.Your primary focus will be integrating with partners across KYC/AML, money movement, robo-advisory, and secure identity—essential components of our ecosystem.What You’ll Be Doing• Design and implement robust API integrations with fintech service providers such as:o KYC/AML: Trulioo, Jumio, ComplyAdvantageo Payments & P2P Transfers: Knox Payments, Trolley, Shakepayo Investing Platforms: CI Direct Investing, Mako Fintecho Secure Identity: OneSpan• Build scalable, secure, and modular backend systems that adhere to Canadian regulatory standards (FINTRAC/PIPEDA).• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, compliance, security) to ensure seamless implementation of partner services.• Monitor, test, and optimize third-party API performance and error handling.• Contribute to API gateway and service orchestration strategies using cloud-native tools.______________What We're Looking For• 5+ years of experience in backend development with a focus on third-party API integration.• Familiarity with fintech domains including compliance, payments, investing, and data security.• Strong hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, authentication protocols (OAuth2, JWT), and secure data handling.• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP (e.g., Lambda, ECS, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub).• Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as FINTRAC, PIPEDA, and related privacy/compliance laws.• Experience working in fast-paced startup or agile environments.______________Nice to Have• Exposure to GraphQL or gRPC APIs• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)• Knowledge of Canadian fintech ecosystem and service providers• Experience in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
