We are looking for an App/Mobile Architect with deep expertise in React Native and Native mobile development (iOS/Android) to lead the architectural vision and technical execution of our mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing scalable, high-performance mobile applications while ensuring stability, security, and cost efficiency.You will be responsible for defining the mobile technology strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring engineers to deliver best-in-class mobile experiences. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our apps align with business goals, user needs, and the evolving technology landscape.Ideal Experience: 9-14 yrsReporting to: Director of EngineeringKey Responsibilities:Architecture & Technical LeadershipDefine and drive the architectural strategy for mobile applications, balancing performance, maintainability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.Design and implement robust React Native solutions with seamless integration of Native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin/Java) components where necessary.Ensure architecture supports modularity, reusability, and cross-platform compatibility.Conduct design reviews for critical features and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.Own end-to-end system design, ensuring it aligns with the business objectives and user experience goals.Mobile Engineering ExcellenceEvangelize and implement mobile design best practices, focusing on performance optimization, security, accessibility, and UX consistency.Drive the adoption of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.Identify and mitigate risks in architecture, performance bottlenecks, and third-party dependencies.Introduce industry best practices, including state management (Redux, MobX), networking, offline capabilities, and background processing.Guide teams on leveraging platform-specific optimizations when needed, ensuring native-like experiences across devices.Business & Product Strategy AlignmentProvide technical expertise and guidance on product roadmaps and feature development.Align mobile strategies with business objectives, ensuring the architecture supports future scalability and growth.Work closely with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to define APIs, user interactions, and cross-platform design patterns.Monitor industry trends, emerging frameworks, and best practices to keep the company ahead in mobile technology.People & Process LeadershipMentor and coach mobile engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.Establish coding guidelines, enforce code reviews, and ensure high technical standards across the team.Identify skill gaps and drive hiring initiatives to build a high-performing mobile development team.Promote collaboration between different engineering teams to drive cross-functional innovations.Quality, Security & PerformanceEstablish robust testing strategies, ensuring 100% functional test coverage (Q1 & Q2 tests) and minimal regression issues.Monitor and optimize app performance, crash analytics, and user feedback to continuously enhance mobile applications.Ensure compliance with security best practices, handling authentication, authorization, data encryption, and privacy considerations effectively.Must Have Skills & Experience:8+ years of mobile development experience, with at least 4 years in React Native and hands-on experience in Native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin/Java).Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices.Experience in designing and implementing large-scale, distributed, and high-performance mobile applications.Deep expertise in state management frameworks (Redux, MobX, Recoil) and asynchronous programming.Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, and backend integrations.Knowledge of CI/CD tools (TeamCity/Jenkins/GitHub Actions/CircleCI) for automated testing and deployment.Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Firebase, Azure) and mobile security best practices.Proven track record of leading architecture decisions and mentoring engineering teams.Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.Understanding of app store submission processes, release cycles, and monitoring tools like Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, and AppDynamics.Good To Have Skills & Experience:Experience with Web UI & Backend exposure as a plus.Prior experience working in e-commerce, fintech, or hyperlocal delivery domains.Open-source contributions or published technical blogs/articles in the mobile development space.Educational Qualifications:B.Tech/M.Tech/M.S/Ph.D in a relevant stream of Engineering
