About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Engineer with strong networking expertise and experience managing Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, SES, RDS, Route 53, and public facing web applications. This role is critical in designing, deploying, and securing cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on security, scalability, and compliance with HIPAA and HITRUST standards. Position Primary Responsibilities: • Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure with a focus on security, scalability, and high availability. • Architect and maintain Amazon EKS clusters and Kubernetes workloads. • Implement and manage AWS networking components (VPCs, subnets, security groups, NACLs, Route 53, Transit Gateway, VPNs, etc.). • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools. • Secure and optimize AWS SES, RDS, and other managed services to support application workloads. • Ensure HIPAA and HITRUST compliance by implementing strong security controls, encryption, logging, and access management. • Monitor and maintain public-facing web applications, optimizing for performance, security, and reliability. • Collaborate with security teams to implement AWS IAM policies, WAF, Security Hub, and incident response best practices. • Troubleshoot networking and application connectivity issues in AWS environments. • Stay up to date with AWS security best practices, compliance regulations, and emerging cloud technologies. Minimum Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud engineering with a focus on networking and security.• Strong hands-on experience with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes. • Deep knowledge of AWS networking (VPCs, Route 53, ALBs/ELBs, NAT, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, etc.). • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation. • Proficiency with AWS SES, RDS, and other managed services. • Understanding of public-facing web applications, DNS, and CDN configurations. • Strong security mindset with experience securing HIPAA- and HITRUST compliant environments (encryption, access control, audit logging, etc.). • Familiarity with AWS IAM, AWS WAF, Security Hub, and compliance frameworks. • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK, etc.). • Ability to troubleshoot complex networking and cloud infrastructure issues.Preferred Qualifications: • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Security Specialty, or Advanced Networking Specialty. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies. • Familiarity with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and serverless architectures. • Knowledge of SOC 2, NIST, and other security compliance frameworks. • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
