HEAD – SAFETY (L1) Location: Delhi JOB PURPOSETo provide leadership in the implementation of the Company’s efforts; to plan, implement and supervise the onsite Corporate Safety, Environment & Health program and ensure compliance with the Company philosophy at all stations handled by AISATS.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESProvides Leadership in the implementation of Company’s efforts.Plans, implements and supervises the Corporate Safety, Environment & Health program with a view to ensure compliance with Company philosophy and local regulations as required.Researches new Regulations and Developments in the field of safety, environment & Health and recommends changes in the Company’s program.Ensures full compliance and relevancy of Safety, Environment & Health plan.Identifies hazardous working conditions and unsafe work practices through site visits, safety plans and initiates action for elimination of such working conditions and practices.Reinforces Safety, Environment & Health awareness in a manner that promotes cooperation and improves morale.Creates a working atmosphere that promotes openness and a high level of enthusiasm and morale in the field and making Safety, Environment & Health as a way of life in the companyConducts work area inspections and assists in personal injury and property damage investigations.Interacts with the relevant Authorities on all issues of safety, environment and health in the organization.Provides job orientation to new joinees in Safety Department.Chairman of the Safety, Environment and Health committee(s).Be responsible for the company’s Safety, Environment and Health needs and compliances.Any other duties as and when assigned by his/her superior(s).Responsible for oversight of safety in operations.Responsible and accountable for overall quality, safety and security of operations.You will be responsible and accountable to make necessary operational decisions related to safety and security matters at all times whilst on duty.EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONBachelor’s degree (preferably in Science, Engineering or Technology) from a Recognized UniversityAppropriate Trainings in Safety Management/ Safety Engineering and Occupational Environment Health or a related field RELEVANT EXPERIENCEMinimum of 10 years of relevant aviation experience out of which at least 5 years shall be in the field of Aviation Safety, Environment & Health Proven experience and ability to manage people, processes, and technology. PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS & BEHAVIOURAbility to work independently and as a part of the team.Possess senior management leadership abilities and skills, such as the ability to build teams and manage operational, organizational and financial elements. Demonstrated experience coaching and developing individuals. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to influence and motivate others. Excellent leadership and developmental skills. Good business acumen, including superior written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, and organizational abilities.
