PROJECT MANAGER – SIGNAGE & ARCHITECTURAL FABRICATIONUS EAST COAST SHIFT – 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM100% Remote Excellent spoken and written English requiredJob Summary:We are looking for a Project Manager with extensive signage experience—someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple signage projects from concept to installation, and brings expertise in sign types, fabrication techniques, and coordination with field teams.Our Core ExpertiseCustom Architectural Signage – Wayfinding, Sign Boxes, Logo and Letter Signs, Directories, Bulletin Boards, Plaques, and ADA SignageArchitectural Metal & Glass Work – Elevator surrounds, cladding, handrails, glass partitionsSpecialty Fabrication – Combining signage with architectural elements in metals, glass, and plasticsKey Responsibilities1. Signage Project Planning & SchedulingConduct thorough take-offs and analysis specific to signage scopes from architectural drawingsDevelop signage project timelines with detailed Gantt charts and production milestonesCoordinate kick-off meetings with art, engineering, and production departments2. Shop Drawings & Engineering for SignageLead collaboration with internal designers and external engineers to produce and revise shop drawings for signage packagesCoordinate PE-stamped structural drawings, especially for large or outdoor signageManage permitting, including code compliance and UL certifications3. Signage Procurement & Material ManagementSource signage-specific materials: LEDs, acrylics, vinyl, aluminum, digital prints, etc.Evaluate vendors for signage fabrication components, ensuring quality and lead timesManage sample submittals for color, finish, and lighting verification4. Fabrication Oversight & Quality ControlIssue clear work orders for signage fabrication across laser cutting, CNC routing, printing, painting, and assembly departmentsCollaborate with the Production Manager to maintain finish quality, dimensional accuracy, and lighting specsReview prototypes and implement robust QC protocols for all signage types5. Installation & Field CoordinationPlan logistics and installation sequencing for signage deliveries and field installsCoordinate with field supervisors and installers to ensure correct placement and finishingConduct pre-install site walks and final punch-list closeouts6. Client Coordination & Change ManagementServe as the primary client contact for all signage-related communication and updatesManage change orders and ensure client sign-offs on revisions and additionsPrepare and submit closeout documents including sign location plans, maintenance guides, and as-built drawingsRequired Skills & QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in signage project managementStrong ability to read and interpret signage drawings, architectural elevations, and sign location plansIn-depth understanding of:Sign fabrication techniques (CNC routing, laser cutting, welding, vinyl application)Materials (aluminum, acrylic, vinyl, LEDs, Lexan, stainless steel)Lighting & Electrical standards for illuminated signageProficiency in:AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, and PhotoshopMS Excel, Word, QuickBooks Contractor EditionGoogle Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive)Excellent written and verbal communication for vendor and client interactionsDetail-oriented, fast-paced multitasker with strong organizational skillsTyping speed of 50 WPM or higherProject Workflow OverviewKickoff – Define project scope and signage deliverablesDesign & Engineering – Shop drawings, renderings, and approvalsProcurement – Source materials and lighting componentsFabrication – Oversee sign production across departmentsInstallation – Coordinate site work and logisticsCloseout – Deliver as-builts, warranties, and documentationAbout the CompanyFounded in 1971, we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in custom signage and architectural metalwork.
