Job Description

Ek Kadam Aur Foundation is looking for a dynamic and recently qualified (within 2-4 years) Chartered Accountant who has knowledge and experience with India’s FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) rules.We are interviewing now. Please include your present compensation and expectation from the next opportunity as well as notice period (time needed) to join our organization.Website:  Key Responsibilities• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards• Ensure compliance with FCRA regulations for all foreign contribution transactions• Manage FCRA registration, renewals, and reporting requirements• Prepare and file quarterly FCRA returns and annual FC-4 forms• Oversee accounting functions including accounts payables, account receivables, and general ledger• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with statutory requirements• Prepare and review tax filings including GST, TDS, and income tax returns• Develop and implement financial controls and processes• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities• Monitor and reconcile FCRA-designated bank accounts• Advise senior leadership on financial implications of business decisions• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis reports• Ensure compliance with CSR reporting requirementsQualifications• Chartered Accountant (CA) certified by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India• 2-4 years of experience in accounting after board (ICAI) certification• Knowledge and experience with registration processes and reporting to ensure compliance with FCRA 2010 and its amendments• Proficiency in Indian accounting standards, Companies Act, and tax regulations• Understanding of RBI guidelines and interpretations related to foreign remittances• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems Required Skills• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities• Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools• Well-developed communication (written and oral) skills in English and language widely used in the State in which the candidate is based• Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements• Experience in NGO accounting is highly desirablePreferred Experience• Experience with organizations receiving foreign contributions• Experience in preparing FCRA budgets and expenditure monitoring• Familiarity with Ministry of Home Affairs FCRA portal• Knowledge of international donor compliance requirements• Experience with statutory and internal audits
