Job Summary:The Asst Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and optimization of all utilities, electrical systems, and HVAC infrastructure within the electronics manufacturing facility. The role ensures maximum uptime, operational efficiency, compliance with safety regulations, and cost-effective maintenance practices.Key Responsibilities:1. Maintenance & Operations:Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for utilities, electrical, and HVAC systems.Ensure the smooth operation of electrical distribution, generators, transformers, and backup power systems.Supervise the maintenance of HVAC systems, including cleanrooms, AHUs, exhausts, and ventilation systems critical to electronics manufacturing.Manage utilities such as compressed air, Ro plant, DG, STP and IrrigationLead a team of maintenance engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.2. Compliance & Safety:Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to safety and environmental guidelines.Maintain service records and AMCsMaintain documentation for audits, certifications, and compliance reports.Implement and promote workplace safety policies, procedures, and best practices.Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as factory act regulations, pollution control board guidelines, electrical safety norms, fire safety codes, and labour laws.Coordinate with regulatory bodies for timely inspections, approvals, and renewals.3. Process Optimization & Cost Control:Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance system efficiency and reduce downtime.Optimize maintenance budgets, control costs, and ensure cost-effective procurement of spare parts and equipment.Work with the production and engineering teams to integrate maintenance requirements into the overall manufacturing strategy.4. Team Leadership & Training:Supervise, train, and develop a team of maintenance personnel.Assign tasks, monitor work progress, and evaluate team performance.Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the maintenance department.5. Vendor & Stakeholder Management:Liaise with external vendors, service providers, and contractors for equipment maintenance and procurement.Coordinate with internal departments (Production, Quality, Logistics and EHS) to align maintenance activities with operational needs.Vendor evaluation and procurement planningQualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Industrial EngineeringMinimum 8-10 years of experience in maintenance management within electronics manufacturing or similar industrial environment.Strong knowledge of Electrical distribution, PLC systems, BMS, SCADA, HVAC systems, Green Energy and utilities maintenance.Experience with TPM, CMMS, and lean manufacturing principles.Familiarity with safety regulations, ISO standards, and compliance audits.Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and handle emergency breakdowns efficiently.Preferred Skills:Experience with cleanroom maintenance in electronics manufacturing.Knowledge of automation systems, IoT-based predictive maintenance, and energy management practices.Proficiency in using maintenance management software for tracking and reporting.
