Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented engineer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in the overall success of the organization by planning, managing & monitoring engineering functions. You will be responsible for overseeing Li-ion battery development projects, processes, budgets & timelines and making any necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion. You could have mechanical and electrical engineers reporting to you.Responsibilities:Lead & supervise a team of engineers as in development and prototyping of battery packsResponsible for product lifecycle management of part numbers and SKUs.Responsible for maintaining quality through checks and feedback loops in incoming and production and implementation in product design.Responsible to create and maintain DFMEA, PFMEA (assist), Control Plans, DFA, Root cause analysis, DOE for the cell and pack testing labsWell-versed with quality tools for problem solvingConfer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.Coordinate and direct projects, make detailed plans, time lines to accomplish goals and direct the integration of technical activities as per APQPAnalyse technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.Participate in planning and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.Direct, review, and approve product design and changesRecruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.Set scientific and technical goals within broad outlines provided by top management.Innovation driven mindset- focused towards continuous improvement, access avenues to publish papers and patents and develop methods focusing towards the R&D initiative of the company.Prepare and deliver various engineering-related presentations, both internally and externally,Required Skills:Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering. (Masters degree is preferred).10+ years of engineering experience, preferably from the Li-ion battery industry (Not mandatory).Analytical and mathematical mindset, capable of evaluating and solving various complex problems.Leadership skills necessary to manage and develop a team.Organisational competencies and project management skills to keep projects, processes, and the entire engineering team on track.Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline driven environment.Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience.Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
