About The BusinessTata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.Tata Electronics is a subsidiary of the Tata group. The Tata Group operates in more than 100 countries across six continents, with the mission 'To improve the quality of life of the communities we serve globally, through long term stakeholder value creation based on leadership with Trust.’The Business Intelligence & Strategic Affairs (BISA) vertical, based in the CEO’s office, will serve as the intelligence backbone for decision-making in Tata Electronics. We are looking for Senior Analyst, Geostrategy & Technology PolicyGeopolitics is a key driver in shaping the global semiconductor and electronics manufacturing landscape. This role is responsible for analysing international political developments and regulatory policies to distil actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making at the highest level. By identifying and anticipating shifts in global power dynamics, trade regulations, and policy landscapes, the candidate will play a critical role in safeguarding supply chain continuity and maintaining Tata Electronics’ competitive edge. Positioned at the nexus of policy, technology, and strategy, this role will contribute to shape the company’s response to emerging global challenges and opportunities.Key Focus Areas & Responsibilities will beMonitor industrial policy development from key regions (e.g. Americas, EU, Southeast Asia etc.) and assess their long-term implications. Develop whitepapers, policy briefs, and other analytical materials to assess regulatory shifts and their impact on Tata Electronics’ semiconductor and electronics manufacturing business units.Translate complex international developments and geopolitical trends into actionable technical and business insights to guide investment decisions and strategic alliances.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify geopolitical risks, develop effective mitigation strategies, and provide strategic recommendations to minimize disruptions.Create models that highlight potential events and their implications for company business operations.Monitor and analyse global trade policy updates and regulatory changes affecting the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing sector.Build and maintain a strong network of contacts in government agencies, research institutions, and industry associations.Periodically research geopolitical events and the threat landscape to create narrative-based report materials, and deliver presentations, advocacy materials, and trade updates to the leadership team.Collaborate closely with advocacy teams to engage with government agencies, policymakers, and alliances on trade-related issues.Operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment by managing multiple deadlines, tasks, and priorities efficiently.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electronics or related disciplines is required; a master’s degree in economics, technology policy, or a background in UPSC Civil Services Examination (Mains) is preferred. Strong ability to summarize complex legal and political developments into actionable strategic recommendations.Hands-on experience in analyzing trade regulations, export controls, and tariffs.Prior experience with government, trade bodies, think tanks, multilateral forums is an added advantageExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively summarize complex geopolitical issues and policies.Desired Experience Level Minimum 5 years of experience in technology, consulting and policy analysis.
