Location: IndiaEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewWizard Analytics is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Head of Catastrophe Modeling to lead its catastrophe modeling operations.The selected candidate will oversee the catastrophe modeling team and support Wizard Analytics’ clients across all aspects of catastrophe risk management.This is a leadership role that requires extensive hands-on experience using AIR and/or RMS catastrophe models, strong technical judgment, and a proven ability to work closely with internal teams and external clients.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the catastrophe modeling team, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of model-ready files and risk analytics.Oversee the transformation of raw exposure data (SOVs) into structured, model-ready files using Wizard Analytics' internal tools.Operate clients' licensed AIR and/or RMS modeling platforms to run catastrophe models, generate risk metrics (AALs, PMLs, EP curves), and interpret results.Perform detailed review and validation of catastrophe model outputs to ensure quality and consistency.Interface directly with clients to understand modeling needs, discuss results, and support their underwriting, actuarial, and risk management objectives.Establish and maintain best practices for catastrophe modeling and exposure data management.Train and mentor team members to strengthen technical skills and operational excellence within the modeling team.Collaborate closely with the Software Development team to provide input and feedback to help evolve Wizard Analytics’ suite of software products.Identify areas for process improvement and innovation in modeling workflows and client deliverables.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in catastrophe modeling using AIR and/or RMS platforms.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Geoscience, or a related technical field.Strong understanding of catastrophe model methodologies, exposure management, policy structures (deductibles, limits, reinsurance terms), and risk aggregation.Expertise in data cleansing, SOV preparation, and catastrophe modeling file generation.High proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools is a strong plus.Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to business users.Demonstrated leadership skills and prior experience managing or mentoring teams.Ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands under tight deadlines.How to ApplyPlease submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience to:
