Balasaheb Thackeray Agribusiness & Rural Transformation Project, SMART where Palladium as Technical Support Agency (TSA) is providing handholding support for PIU- Village Social Transformation Foundation (VSTF) with an objective ‘to support the development of inclusive and competitive agriculture value chains, focusing on smallholder farmers and Agri-entrepreneurs in Maharashtra.Job Summary: The State IT Expert will provide technical expertise, strategic guidance, and operational support to ensure the effective implementation, maintenance, and security of the state’s IT infrastructure and digital services. This role involves collaborating with government agencies, vendors, and stakeholders to enhance IT systems, improve service delivery, and align technology initiatives with state policies and objectives.Key Roles & Responsibilities:Oversee enhance the design, implementation, and maintenance of state-wide IT systems, networks, and databases.Ensure all the Government portals work efficientlyUpdate and enforce cybersecurity policies, protocols, and best practices.Ensure compliance with state and federal data protection regulations.Advise on the adoption of emerging technologies (e.g., cloud computing, AI, blockchain) to improve government services.Lead or support IT modernization projects, including e-governance initiatives.Work with state agencies to identify IT needs and provide technical solutions.Liaise with vendors, contractors, and other government entities to procure and manage IT resources.Train and mentor government staff on IT systems and best practices.Ensure IT operations align with state laws, regulations, and budgetary guidelines.Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for government officials.Support team with ad hoc work as and when requiredAttend regular meetings with project staff to ensure smooth communication and problem-solving.Other related activitiesQualifications and Skills Required:B.E/ B. Tech in IT/ Computer engineering/ MCA/ MCM/ MCS or equivalent5+ years in IT sector preferably in government or public-sector projects.Expertise in network administration, cybersecurity, cloud services, and enterprise softwarePreference will be given to candidate having experience in working with Agriculture/allied sectorsStrong leadership and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to coordinate multiple activities and stakeholders at the State Level.Language:Hindi, English and MarathiWorking Conditions:Based at State office at Mumbai.Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate field activities and meetings with stakeholders.Travel may be required as and when neededEquity, Diversity & InclusionPalladium is committed to embedding equity, diversity, and inclusion into everything we do.
