About the team We are seeking a highly skilled Techno-Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a specialization in Transfer Agency products and the Capital Market domain. This role demands a unique combination of technical acumen and functional expertise in the Transfer Agency business, with a strong emphasis on solutioning and client interaction.What you will be doing The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Cobol, SQL, JCL, and Proc, along with a deep understanding of the capital market domain and transfer agency business. The role involves significant client-facing responsibilities, including direct interaction with clients for work prioritization and coordination of any issues. The candidate must be hands-on in technical areas and capable of working independently or collaboratively with a team for implementations and conversions/deconversions. The split between client-facing interactions and hands-on technical work is approximately 20% and 80%, respectively.Key Responsibilities:Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Cobol, SQL, JCL, and Proc is essential. The candidate should be able to handle complex technical tasks and provide technical solutions.Functional Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Transfer Agency business, including processes, regulations, and best practices within the capital market domain.Client Interaction: Engage directly with clients to understand their needs, prioritize work, and coordinate solutions. This includes addressing any issues that arise and ensuring client satisfaction.Solutioning: Develop and implement solutions that meet client requirements and enhance the efficiency of Transfer Agency operations. . This includes meeting with clients, discussing their needs, documenting requirements, and reviewing existing processes to suggest changesImplementation: Work independently or as part of a team to implement solutions, ensuring seamless functionality.Hands-On Work: The role requires a significant amount of hands-on technical work, making up about 80% of the responsibilities.Functional Knowledge:Leverage deep functional knowledge in capital markets, particularly in the Transfer Agency, to drive solution effectiveness.Knowledge about TA operations including investor record keeping, transaction processing and regulatory compliance is good to have but not a necessity. Technical knowledgeBe able to do mapping and reviewing programs to ensure they meet client requirements. This involves reviewing data files, identifying anomalies, and making necessary adjustments to the programs.Should have knowledge of tools like Co-sort and UVHD for data review and compare.Proficient in SQL Developer to review data, select data from tables, merge tables, and find necessary information Client Interaction:Might have to serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding technical and functional aspects of the product.Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business objectives and aligning solutions to meet these objectives. Travel & Flexibility:Be prepared to travel to client sites across different regions as required to support project delivery and client engagement activities.Adapt to different time zones (mostly US) and work environments to meet client and project demands.What you bring: Qualifications & Skills:Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Finance, or related field.Experience:Minimum 10 years of experience in a techno-functional role, preferably in capital markets and Transfer Agency.Proven experience with working directly with clients and different stakeholders. Technical Skills:Proficiency in Mainframe technologies like COBOL, SQL, JCL, Proc.Experience of working with tools like Co-sort and UVHD, SQL Developer etcHands-on experience with working on conversion and deconversion projects.Knowledge of writing scripts using SQL. Functional Skills:In-depth knowledge of capital markets and Transfer Agency business.Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into technical requirements.Interpersonal Skills:Excellent client-facing skills with a proven ability to interact and communicate with senior stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and critically.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
