Job DescriptionDepartment: Quality AssuranceBusiness Unit: Sheeting / Towel / Yarn (as applicable)Reports To: Business Head / Group Head – QualityPurpose of the Role:To lead the Quality function across the textile manufacturing value chain, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of product and process quality. This role is critical in driving a culture of continuous improvement, customer-centricity, and operational excellence aligned with Trident Group’s vision of delivering world-class textile products.Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Quality Leadership: Define and implement quality strategy aligned with business goals across spinning, weaving, processing, and finishing operations. 2. Quality Management Systems: Establish and maintain robust quality systems and frameworks in compliance with ISO, OEKO-TEX, GOTS, and other relevant standards. 3. Process Excellence: Drive process standardization and control through audits, SOPs, and quality checkpoints across departments. 4. Customer-Centric Approach: Ensure proactive handling of customer complaints, lead root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions to enhance customer satisfaction. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Production, R&D, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to resolve systemic quality issues and improve first-time-right metrics. 6. Team Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing quality team across plants; build technical capabilities and promote a quality-first mindset on the shop floor. 7. Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize quality metrics, statistical tools, and dashboards for performance tracking, risk identification, and decision-making. 8. Compliance & Certifications: Ensure adherence to legal, safety, and environmental quality standards. Lead internal and external audits with regulatory and certification bodies. 9. Continuous Improvement: Champion initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and digital quality monitoring to drive productivity and defect reduction.Key Competencies:- Strong knowledge of textile processes and their interdependencies (spinning, weaving, dyeing, finishing, etc.) - Expertise in quality tools and methodologies (RCA, SPC, FMEA, 7 QC Tools, etc.) - Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills - Leadership and team management abilities with a hands-on approach - Effective communication, stakeholder management, and customer orientationQualification & Experience:- B.Tech / M.Tech in Textile Technology, Chemical Engineering, or related fields - 12+ years of progressive experience in textile quality functions, preferably with multi-business exposure (Yarn, Towel, Sheeting) - Experience in leading audits and quality certifications
