Job Description: Sales Head – Switchgear IndustryPosition Title: Sales HeadDepartment: Sales & MarketingLocation: KolkataReports to: Managing Director / CEOExperience Required: 10+ years in Sales (preferably in Switchgear, Electrical, or Industrial Products)Qualification: B.E./B.Tech (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical)Role Overview:We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Sales Head to lead and expand our sales operations in the switchgear sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial product sales, strong leadership qualities, and a proven track record of achieving aggressive growth targets. This individual will be responsible for developing strategic sales plans, driving revenue, nurturing key client relationships, and building a high-performance sales team.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement the overall sales strategy aligned with company objectives. - Drive business growth through new customer acquisition and expansion of existing accounts. - Lead, mentor, and build a strong team of regional sales managers and executives. - Identify emerging markets, market shifts, and competitor activities, and recommend action plans. - Set and track sales targets for the team. - Foster strong relationships with OEMs, EPC contractors, consultants, and end-users. - Collaborate with marketing, technical, and product development teams to align offerings with customer needs. - Monitor market trends and provide regular feedback to leadership. - Oversee pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and key account management. - Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events. - Ensure CRM and reporting tools are updated with accurate sales forecasts and customer interactions.Key Skills & Competencies:- Deep understanding of switchgear products (MCB, RCCB, DB, CHANGEOVERS, ISOLATORS), electrical panels, and related applications. - Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. - High business acumen with strategic thinking abilities. - Experience in B2B sales, project sales, and channel sales management. - Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive targets. - Willingness to travel extensively to meet clients and support teams.Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering is mandatory. - MBA in Marketing or Business Management preferred. - Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in technical/industrial product sales, with at least 6 years in a senior leadership role within the switchgear or electrical industry.
