Location - Mumbai Employment Type - Full Time Reports To – Chief Operating Officer We are seeking strong animal lover and a passionate candidate to join our team to manage stray dogs and cats in large campuses. This position involves managing ground breaking initiative to manage stray dogs and cats across large campuses using cutting-edge technology. The candidate can combine their zoological knowledge with strong outreach and communication skills to improve the welfare of stray dogs and cats. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the project which includes leading and managing a dynamic team, train the team on the animal safety App and web platform and co-ordinate large number of animal caregivers within the campuses. The role requires good organizational and communication skills, as well as a passion for animal welfare. This is the first project of its kind in India, offering immense potential for professional growth, innovation and media visibility. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the welfare and management of stray dogs and cats within large campuses equipped with first aid centers. Act as a key advocate for animal safety App and web platform by educating caregivers about its purpose and benefits. Conduct outreach activities to promote the use of App for reporting, rescuing and tracking stray dogs. Collaborate with NGOs, Animal Welfare Groups and Municipal Corporations to encourage the App adoption. Train and guide on-ground teams, staff and volunteers in using the App and web platform effectively. Coordinate with a large number of caregivers across multiple locations and ensure smooth operations. Analyze user feedback to identify opportunities for product and process improvement. Required Qualifications: Bachelors’ or Masters’ Degree preferably in Zoology, Animal Science, Veterinary Science or Environmental Science. Prior 4-5 years’ experience in animal care, shelter management or a related field. Overall 10 years’ of experience in client-facing or project leadership roles. Experience with dog behaviour, training and basic veterinary care is a plus. Skills & Competencies Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and organizational capabilities. Ability to work independently and with a diverse group of people, including volunteers, staff and community members. Passion for animal welfare and a commitment to improving the lives of stray animals. Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes physically demanding environment. Tech-savvy and comfortable using digital tools, mobile apps, and web platforms. Physically fit and comfortable handling animals of different sizes and temperaments. Adaptability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Strong understanding about animal welfare practices.
