Job Title :- Senior Engineer - MS SQL DBA Expereince - 5 - 7 Years Location : Hyderabad ( Work from Office) Responsibilities: Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development of mission-critical production systems, Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security, Will Work in a 24 X 7 Environment (NOC), Will support the Clients over email as well as phone, Incident & Problem management, Responsibility of Customer attrition IDP (individual development program) & Training for L1 Will be responsible for the uptime of the various client projects being managed / monitored, Will report to the Manager, Will have to report the daily/weekly/monthly basis database operation checklist, Will have to do compliance audits of the setups done by the fellow engineers to make sure that the setup being handed over to the customer is done to the customer’s satisfaction, Need to make sure that issues are handled in the right time frames as per the SLA / commitments, Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends, Configure SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms, Deploy database change scripts provided by third party vendors, Document the company’s database environment. Professional Skills & Expertise: Database Architecture & Administration Architect, install, configure, and upgrade Microsoft SQL Server and related products. Expertise in Windows + SQL Server clustering (A-P/A-A) with multi-node configurations. Strong knowledge of MSSQL High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions. Hands-on experience with SQL Server Always On Architecture across multiple nodes. Configuration and management of SQL Server replication in multi-node environments. Backup & Performance Optimization Ensure database backups align with Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and business continuity plans. Evaluate and implement MSSQL features and related technologies. Expertise in database performance tuning and optimization for high-efficiency operations. System & Capacity Planning Maintain up-to-date documentation and standards for MSSQL environments. Plan for database growth and capacity management to ensure scalability. Technical Support & Troubleshooting Provide 24/7 support as part of a team for critical database operations. Perform technical troubleshooting and provide consultancy to development teams. Interface with Microsoft SQL Server support for advanced troubleshooting. Advanced SQL Server Capabilities Proficiency in SQL clustering installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of SQL log shipping, mirroring, and replication configuration and troubleshooting. Execution and coordination of MSSQL DR drills. Experience with T-SQL scripting for automation tasks. Security & Compliance Understanding of ITIL frameworks for Incident and Problem Management. Strong knowledge of Windows and MSSQL security hardening best practices. Certifications & Additional Expertise MCP certifications (preferred). Storage & Virtualization knowledge. MSSQL on Linux expertise (added advantage). Cloud database technologies (Azure & AWS). Experience in open-source database support (added advantage).
