Our vision is to offer the best job search experience to visa holders in the US.Role OverviewWe are seeking a Data Engineering Intern to help us automate the end-to-end job sourcing pipeline. You'll work on building scalable data workflows that extract, clean, and integrate job listings from diverse sources, including APIs, job boards, ATS platforms, and company career pages. Your work will directly impact the accessibility and quality of job listings for thousands of international students and professionals.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch and connect with various data sources, including public APIs, private APIs, job boards, and career pages.Develop robust and scalable web scraping and API integration scripts for job data collection.Design and implement ETL pipelines to process, filter, and store job listings in a structured format.Apply data cleaning and deduplication logic to ensure high data quality.Build keyword-based and contextual filters to identify visa-sponsoring job opportunities.Optimize scripts for performance, reliability, and low resource consumption.Collaborate with the core team to align sourcing strategies with product needs.Required Skills & QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related fieldProficient in Python, with experience using libraries like BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium, Pandas, or Playwright.Experience working with REST APIs, JSON/XML data, and handling unstructured/structured data.Understanding of SQL and hands-on experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.Familiarity with ETL processes and automation of data pipelines.Strong coding, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.Experience with job board scraping or ATS systems is a strong plus.Knowledge of regex or NLP methods for text-based filtering is a bonus.Interview ProcessTake-Home Assignment: A real-world job data extraction task to demonstrate your ability to build functional pipelines.Coding Round & Final Presentation: Leetcode-style coding interview to assess coding and problem-solving skills and walk us through your solution, approach, and key implementation decisions.Why Join Us?Gain hands-on experience in web scraping, API integration, and data engineering.Work on a real-world, high-impact project that helps visa holders secure employment.Flexible remote work with ownership and autonomy.Be part of a startup with a social mission and an exciting growth roadmap.Strong performers may be considered for future long-term roles.
