In this on-site, paid internship, you will use cutting-edge AI tools (like Midjourney, DALL·E, and Leonardo) to generate visual content depicting Indian mythological characters, historical figures, and cultural scenes. You will work closely with our content and design teams to produce images that enrich our storytelling, whether for digital stories, video thumbnails, or presentations. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Indian culture and art, who also enjoys experimenting with AI to bring imaginative scenes to life. You’ll have the opportunity to research fascinating cultural topics, craft detailed prompts, and create visuals that captivate our audience.Key Responsibilities:Cultural Research & Prompt Writing: Research Indian mythology, history, and cultural traditions to develop conceptually accurate and detailed image prompts. Ensure that each prompt includes the right characters, attire, symbols, and settings true to the source material.AI Image Creation: Use AI image generation platforms (Midjourney, DALL·E, Leonardo, etc.) to create high-quality visuals based on the prompts. Experiment with different styles and settings in these tools to achieve the desired artistic effect and quality.Iteration & Refinement: Generate multiple outputs and refine the prompts iteratively to improve image results. Tweak descriptions, compositions, or styles in the prompt to better align with the vision, and select the best outcomes for use.Collaboration with Team: Work closely with the creative director, editors and designers to understand the story or message that each image needs to convey. Brainstorm visual ideas for upcoming stories or videos and ensure the images complement and enhance the narrative.Quality Control: Review and proof-check AI-generated images for accuracy and cultural authenticity. Make sure characters and scenes are depicted respectfully and correctly (e.g., no historical anachronisms or inappropriate representations). Seek feedback from the team and make adjustments as needed to meet quality standards.Asset Management: Organize and catalog the generated images and their corresponding prompts for future reference. Maintain a library of AI-generated artwork and prompt templates that can be reused or adapted for new projects.Staying Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest features, trends, and techniques in generative AI art (for example, new Midjourney updates or emerging image models) and share these insights with the team. Suggest and try out new creative approaches or tools based on the latest developments to keep our content innovative.Required Skills and Qualifications:AI Image Generation Experience: Experience or strong interest in using AI image generation tools such as Midjourney, DALL·E, Leonardo, or similar platforms. (Personal projects or a portfolio of AI-generated art is a big plus.)Visual & Aesthetic Sense: A keen eye for visual design, composition, and detail. Ability to guide AI tools toward producing aesthetically pleasing images, with a good understanding of color, lighting, and layout.Cultural Knowledge: Solid understanding of Indian culture, including major mythologies (e.g., Ramayana, Mahabharata), historical eras, and traditional art styles. You should know or be eager to learn how typical clothing, architecture, and symbols look for different characters, regions, or time periods.Prompt Crafting Skills: Strong writing ability to create clear, descriptive, and imaginative prompts. Capable of communicating visual concepts through text effectively, and adept at tweaking phrasing to influence AI outputs.Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensuring that generated images meet the narrative requirements and are accurate. Whether it’s getting a character’s attire correct or making sure a scene fits the story context, you double-check details and strive for authenticity.Collaborative Attitude: Good communication skills and a team-player mindset. Comfortable working with others, accepting feedback, and iterating on work. You will be coordinating with writers and designers regularly to align visual output with content needs.Adaptability & Learning Mindset: Enthusiasm for learning new AI tools and techniques. The field of generative AI evolves quickly, so being able to adapt, experiment, and troubleshoot (for example, figuring out why a prompt isn’t working and improving it) is important.Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a relevant field (e.g., graphic design, fine arts, animation, literature, history, computer science) is a plus but not required.
