Balasaheb Thackeray Agribusiness & Rural Transformation Project, SMART where Palladium as Technical Support Agency (TSA) is providing handholding support for PIU- Village Social Transformation Foundation (VSTF) with an objective ‘to support the development of inclusive and competitive agriculture value chains, focusing on smallholder farmers and Agri-entrepreneurs in Maharashtra’ Job Summary: The Finance and Procurement Associate will support financial operations and procurement activities, ensuring compliance with Government policies and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing vendor relationships, coordinate with financial institutions, processing purchase orders, assisting in budget tracking, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in finance or procurement processes. Key Roles & Responsibilities:Assist in the end-to-end procurement process, including requisition, sourcing, bidding, and purchase order issuance. Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery of goods/services. Maintain procurement records, contracts, and vendor databases in compliance with organizational policies. Support tender processes, including drafting RFPs (Request for Proposals), evaluating bids, and coordinating approvals.Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and expenditure tracking. Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.Generate financial reports and assist in audits as needed.Identify cost-saving opportunities and process efficiencies in procurement and financial workflows.Support team with ad hoc work as and when requiredAttend regular meetings with project staff to ensure smooth communication and problem-solving.Other related activitiesQualifications and Skills Required:Commerce or Equivalent Graduate5 years’ experience in finance and procurement in finance and procurement in any externally aided projects, preferably Word Bank funded projects in Agriculture SectorStrong leadership and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to coordinate multiple activities and stakeholders at the State LevelLanguage:Hindi, English and MarathiWorking Conditions:Based at State office at Mumbai.Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate field activities and meetings with stakeholders.Travel may be required as and when neededEquity, Diversity & InclusionPalladium is committed to embedding equity, diversity, and inclusion into everything we do.
