We are committed to producing meaningful, perception-building content that drives social change.Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and driven Assistant Director to join our documentary film production team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role, a passion for non-fiction storytelling, and a keen understanding of narrative building for government and public sector audiences. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on films that create awareness, inform policy, and inspire transformation.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Director to plan, organize, and execute documentary film projects.Assist in scriptwriting, research, and ideation during the pre-production phase.Liaise with production teams, government departments, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination.Manage shoot schedules, locations, logistics, and crew to ensure efficient execution.Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and storytelling throughout the production cycle.Ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget.Bring a creative vision to life while upholding the factual integrity of the documentary content.RequirementsA degree in Mass Communication, Film Studies, or a related field.Proven experience as an Assistant Director, preferably in documentary or non-fiction content.Deep interest in documentary filmmaking and public-interest storytelling.Strong understanding of perception-building and narrative strategy.Creative mindset with attention to detail and visual storytelling.Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Passionate about working on socially relevant and impactful projects.Application QuestionWhy are you specifically interested in pursuing a career in non-fiction/documentary film production, and what motivates you to avoid working in fiction/feature film production?
