Roles & Responsibilities:Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to ensure uninterrupted departmental operations.Conduct 80/20 analysis on total spend and perform benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities.Utilize various outsourcing methods to optimize cost structures and enhance delivery timelines.Perform Make or Buy analysis to support critical decision-making.Manage procurement processes including auctions, bidding, and negotiations.Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and evolving sourcing systems.Drive standardization of procured components and materials.Explore international sourcing and importing to achieve cost advantages.Focus on reducing cycle time for critical outsourced items.Plan and organize supplier meets, including recognition and award programs.Represent India in the global Valmont sourcing team, aligning local practices with global standards.Collaborate with internal stakeholders as a core member of cross-functional teams.Lead supplier evaluation and negotiation teams to ensure high performance and value.Spearhead vendor meets and actively participate in supplier engagement events.Drive initiatives for new product and vendor development.Lead the evaluation and resolution process for customer complaints related to outsourced items.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Engineering - Mechanical or Metallurgy, or MBA in Supply Chain Management would be added advantage.13 to 15 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing, Steel or automobile industry setup.Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.Experience with global sourcing and vendor development. Proficiency in ERP systems and sourcing tools.
