Job Title: UX Writer Job SummaryPlanful is seeking a highly skilled UX Writer to collaborate with the Head of User Experience, designers, product managers, and writers to create compelling and intuitive user experiences across our financial planning and performance management software. Your role will focus on crafting clear, concise, and engaging copy that enhances user comprehension and supports our customers in achieving their financial goals. Key Responsibilities • UX Writing: Develop and refine UI copy to ensure clarity, usability, and alignment with product guidelines. Focus on improving financial planning workflows through well-crafted copy. • Collaboration: Work closely with UX Designers, Product Managers, and Technical Writers to understand user needs, product requirements, and design objectives. • Product Communication: Compose UI text, including system notices, tooltips, emails, and other copy elements, to enhance user engagement. • Copy Maintenance: Use tools such as Figma, Jira, and Pendo to create, update, and maintain product copy, ensuring consistency across the platform. • User Assistance & Onboarding: Develop user assistance content such as guided tours, notifications, and surveys, particularly for complex financial workflows. • UX Best Practices: Contribute to evolving UX writing standards, particularly for financial planning software. • Revamp Existing UX Content: Take initiatives to refine and improve UI copy within complex financial modules. Required Qualifications *Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Writing, Technical Communication, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). *Experience: 4+ years of UX writing experience in SaaS applications, preferably in finance or AI-based software applications. *Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and analytics software is a plus. *Bonus Qualifications Experience writing for AI-powered products or AI agents to create intuitive and engaging conversational experiences. Skills • Strong writing skills with the ability to adjust tone and style for different audiences. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Docs. • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with competing priorities. • Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration, particularly in financial or technical environments. • Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Receptive to feedback and able to iterate on copy effectively.
