BRIEF:We’re seeking a highly organized and proactive Apparel Supply Chain Manager to oversee our end-to-end product lifecycle—from sourcing raw materials in India to final delivery to our U.S. warehouse. This role requires strong communication skills, knowledge of apparel manufacturing (especially children’s wear), and experience working with international vendors and logistics partners.Key ResponsibilitiesSourcing & Vendor Management Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and factories in IndiaEnsure compliance with GOTS certification and ethical labor standardsNegotiate product costs, MOQs, lead times, and sampling timelinesManage purchase orders and production calendarsProduction OversightTrack sampling, approvals, and production status to ensure timelines are metMonitor fabric sourcing, trims, and testing requirementsCoordinate product quality checks and resolve any production issuesLogistics & FulfillmentOversee shipping schedules and documentation (invoices, packing lists, AWBs)Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and warehousing partnersEnsure smooth inventory flow to U.S. warehouse(s) with minimal delaysTroubleshoot customs delays, lost shipments, and delivery issuesCost & Process Optimization Evaluate landed cost structures and suggest improvementsDevelop tools to track costs, margins, and vendor performanceIdentify inefficiencies and suggest process improvements across the supply chainQualifications & Skills3–5+ years experience in apparel sourcing or supply chain management (children’s wear preferred)Strong understanding of fabric types, garment construction, and trimsExperience working with Indian manufacturers or international sourcingExcellent organizational and project management skillsProficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and production tracking toolsFamiliarity with GOTS certification and sustainable production practices is a plusBonus SkillsExperience with Shopify, Inventory Management Systems (like DEAR, Finale)Understanding of import regulations and HTS codesPrior work with small businesses or DTC apparel brandsJOB TYPE: Full-timeLOCATION: On site - South DelhiCandidates with experience of working with US / Europe buyers will be preferred.ABOUT THE BRAND :Makemake Organics is an American baby and kids brand with focus on modern and sustainable fashion while respecting people and the planet.
