Responsibilities:Optimize Workloads: Efficiently manage and optimize database workloads to ensure peak performance and cost-effectiveness.Performance Capacity Issues: Identify and resolve performance capacity issues to maintain optimal database functionality.Migration: Oversee and complete database migration projects, with a significant migration scheduled for completion by September 2024, involving 100-200 databases.Customer Interface: Maintain strong communication skills to effectively interface with customers and understand their needs and requirements.Required Skills and Experience:SQL Expertise: Minimum of 7 years of experience in SQL database administration.AWS Experience: 1-1.5 years of experience working with AWS, particularly AWS RDS.SQL Technologies: Proficiency in SQL technologies, including Always On availability groups.Query Optimization: Expertise in query optimization to enhance database performance.Database Design: Strong skills in database design to ensure efficient and scalable database structures.Backup and Recovery: Comprehensive knowledge of backup and recovery processes to safeguard data integrity.Preferred Qualifications:Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational and time management skills.Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.CompensationThis position is targeting candidates at an hourly rate between $20-$23 USD per hour.
