Role OverviewWe are seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) and Resource Manager to oversee the ongoing optimization of enterprise analytics data products and resource management for our managed services engagement with client. This role will be responsible for identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, ensuring seamless resource allocation across all data products, and driving initiatives for process enhancement.Key ResponsibilitiesContinuous Improvement & Process OptimizationLead the execution of continuous improvement (CI) sprints to enhance performance, efficiency, and reliability of data products.Manage the backlog of enhancements, preventive maintenance tasks, and new features, ensuring alignment with client's business objectives.Implement strategies for data quality testing, automation, and observability to ensure data accuracy and reliability.Coordinate weekly and monthly sprint planning sessions to prioritize CI initiatives based on impact and effort estimations.Track pipeline performance, SLA adherence, and system uptime through monthly performance reporting.Resource Planning & AllocationEnsure resource fungibility across all data products, optimizing utilization of assigned personnel.Oversee the workload allocation of data engineers, analysts, and support teams to meet clients s 15,000-hour annual commitment (65% CI, 35% production support).Provide capacity planning and forecasting to meet project timelines while balancing ad-hoc support needs.Maintain and optimize the on-call rotation schedule for 24-hour weekend support.Stakeholder Communication & ReportingAct as the primary liaison between the vendor team and client Data Science Stakeholders.Provide weekly status reports on progress, risks, and issues related to CI and resource management.Maintain transparent documentation of all resource utilization, CI progress, and project risks in clients ITSM system (Jira).Conduct monthly and quarterly service reviews, presenting key performance trends, CI successes, and areas for improvement.Risk & Issue ManagementMaintain a Risk Register, ensuring that all project risks, mitigation plans, and dependencies are well-documented and addressed proactively.Lead the issue triage, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking for system performance or resource bottlenecks.Qualifications & Skills5+ years experience in Continuous Improvement, Agile Project Management, or Data Engineering Resource Management.Strong experience in managing data engineering and analytics teams within an IT-managed services environment.Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), Jira, and resource planning tools (Smartsheet preferred).Knowledge of data pipeline technologies (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Tableau, Fivetran, Attunity) and data infrastructure best practices.Strong analytical mindset with experience in performance tracking, SLA monitoring, and process optimization.Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across business and technical stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsCertification in Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, or Agile Project Management.Experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG) analytics.What We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity to work on enterprise-level data science initiativesA dynamic and collaborative work environmentRemote work flexibility
