Job Title: MRO BuyerWorking Hours: 1:30pm to 10:30pm ISTPosition Summary:We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Parts Buyer to support our growing procurement operations. The ideal candidate will have solid experience sourcing expendable, consumable, reparable, and rotable parts in the aerospace or aviation industry. The buyer will be responsible for procurement across the EU and US markets, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and trace-compliant material acquisition.Key Responsibilities:Source, negotiate, and purchase aerospace parts and components (expendables, consumables, reparables, rotables) from OEMs, distributors, and brokers.Utilize platforms such as OEM/Distributor websites, ILS, PartsBase, etc., to research availability, pricing, and lead times.Understand and manage MOQ (Minimum Order Quantities), logistics costs, and delivery options including courier vs. freight forwarding.Coordinate customs clearance procedures in Lisbon, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.Ensure proper trace documentation for NS (New Surplus), NE (New), and OH (Overhauled) material in accordance with aviation standards.Enter purchase orders, supplier info, and part details accurately into ERP systems such as Quantum or AvSight.Assist the manager in quoting materials and manage parts procurement across multiple time zones.Maintain strong communication with suppliers and internal teams to ensure clear status updates and issue resolution.Required Qualifications:Minimum 2+ years of experience in aerospace/aviation parts procurement.Proficiency with platforms such as ILS, PartsBase, and OEM portals.Solid understanding of international logistics, customs clearance, and freight strategy (courier vs. forwarder).Strong negotiating skills and vendor relationship management.Excellent attention to detail, especially in data entry and trace documentation.Experience with ERP systems like Quantum, AvSight, or equivalent.Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently across EU and US time zones.Knowledge of aviation compliance standards is a plus.
