Location: RemoteRelevant Experience: 2+ yearsJob Type: Full-timeAbout Katonic: We are a young, Aussie Generative AI startup headquartered in Sydney, Australia.Role OverviewAs a Data Engineer focused on AI and GenAI implementations, you'll design and build scalable data pipelines that power our AI systems, ensuring reliable data flow from ingestion through transformation to model serving and monitoring.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain efficient data processing systems for AI/ML workflowsCreate and optimize ETL pipelines for various data sources to support AI model training and inferenceImplement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure high-quality inputs for AI systemsCollaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to productionize AI modelsBuild and maintain data infrastructure that supports both batch and real-time AI applicationsImplement monitoring solutions for deployed AI systemsDocument data architectures and technical processesRequired Qualifications2+ years of professional experience in data engineering role with focus on AI/ML systemsExperience deploying and supporting AI/GenAI projects in production environmentsProficiency in Python and SQLStrong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipeline architecturesExperience with distributed computing frameworks (Spark, Dask, etc.)Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their AI/ML service offeringsKnowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes)Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD workflowsPreferred QualificationsExperience with streaming data technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.)Knowledge of MLOps practices and tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, etc.)Experience with vector databases and similarity search enginesFamiliarity with LLM integration patterns and prompt engineeringExperience with feature stores and experiment tracking systemsUnderstanding of responsible AI principles and practicesWhat we offer:Opportunity to work in Generative AIA global workforce100% work from home"Please apply only if you match the criteria.”To apply, please fill out this form here: filling out the form, your application is not complete.
