Vendor will provide technology services for Core Technology components.ResponsibilitiesInstall/Maintain/Configure the Db2 software and related Db2 ISV softwareExperience automating process using zOSMFExperience recovering the Db2 environment in a Disaster Recovery environmentDemonstrates knowledge in all areas of z System Db2 Software administrationDesigns and documents technical solutions required to support complex business system and/or integrationsGenerate documentation for use by Computer Operations as well as the Technical Help Deskz Systems Infrastructure/Platform lifecycle management (the lifecycle of Db2 Software from planning, through operation, and disposal or end-of-life)Install and support latest releases of Db2 softwareBreak complex topics into meaningful pieces of informationSort through large amounts of data to assess for relevancySeek out multiple sources to gather informationIdentify cause and effect relationships between known and unknown variablesEvaluate quality processes and seeks opportunities to streamlineConsider the customer experience, business impact and solution objective when managing risks and development and design of solutionsPro-actively identify patterns in issues and research root-cause to improve overall qualityHolding self-accountable for meeting high performance standards and agreed upon commitmentsTaking responsibility for outcomes of actions and decisionsIdentify and analyzes options and selects course of action based on best fit with desired outcomesMonitor and analyze multiple systems and researching/proposing solutions to issuesExperience applying all types of vendor Db2 software fixes: Pre-requisite fix, Co-requisite fix, Technical Refresh requisite fix, Distribution requisite fix, Cumulative PTF packages, Service packs, Authorized Program Analysis Report (APAR), Program Temporary Fix (PTF) High-impact pervasive (HIPER) PTFMandatory Skills5+ years of experience on TWS ( Mainframe or Distributed ) batch schedulingTWS batch scheduling with strong knowledge on TWS command line utility that includes Composer & TWS higher versions (9.3 and above)5+ years using Unix Basics5+ years using ITIL Process
