We are looking for DB2 administration Support the organization in developing, operating and managing large and sophisticated enterprise database environmentsü Coordinate activities performed by the team, track and report on team activities, define and document team processes, troubleshoot escalated issues and will be hands-on in operational DBA tasks which involves database-monitoring, performance tuning, backup and recovery, installation, maintenance, and disaster recovery.ü Responsible for upgrades, performance monitoring, installations, managing replications, diagnosing system problems, disaster recovery testing and maintaining userü accessibilityü Resolving complex issues involving: database performance, database capacity, resiliency, stability, replication, and other key aspects of distributed database technologyü Ability to craft and alter of DB2 object according to the requirement (Ex: Database, Table space, Table, Index, etc)ü Experience in Online/Offline utility: Running Reorgs and Runstats, Backup and Recovery of Table spaces (copy & recover), Repair, Load/Unload utilities, Administering database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentationü Providing technical support for day-to-day DB2 with High Availability (HADR) in AIX Power HA environment including developing and applying procedures for periodicü Database backups using IBM TSM, measuring database performance and troubleshooting complex database and HADR issuesü Backup plan configuration using the T-SQL statement Rebuild/ Re-organize index configuration using the maintenance plan DB maintenance and I/O error report Checking the Lock and block on the instance.ü Configuring TSM online DB backups, TDP configurations.ü Database restoration based on the request for support assets.ü Start up and shutdown of database instances Data file and log file movement.ü Application PATCH execution.ü Service pack /PATCH updates on cluster server.ü DR reconfiguration and setup in case of failure due to incident.ü Log Shipping configuration in standby mode/no recovery mode/ different domain.ü Mirroring configuration in asynchronous mode/synchronous mode without automatic fail-over/ synchronous mode with automatic fail-over/ different domain.ü Configuration and setup DB clusterü Monitoring the database performance by DB2MON & DB2TOP & DSMü Database performance tuning using db2advis, DB2explain utilitiesü Trouble shooting database issues using db2diag and notification logs, snapshot, event monitor.ü Generating report on database performance using Database server management tool.ü HADR environment and log shipping issues, replication in DB2 UDB environment Working knowledge of Unix Working on server upgrades, fix pack install and database migration.ü Implementing and maintaining databases with respect to access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods; including maintenance of database dictionaries, and integration of systems through database design and implementationü Maintaining database dictionaries and documents Job Control Language (JCL), SQL, Perl and shell scripts and batch processesü Coordinating and Implementing changes to DB2 (vesion 9.7,10.5 and above) and DB2 FixPaks in AIX,Linux and Windows environments to improve performance, stability and securityü Configuring, maintaining and monitoring system, user databases, schemas, table spaces, tables, indexes, buffer pools, logs and instances in an AIX,Linux and Window environment
