Project descriptionThe prospective candidate will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of Wind Farm Development Projects in Karnataka, ensuring timely execution at committed cost and quality benchmarks. This role requires strong leadership of cross-functional teams with a sharp focus on land acquisition, Right of Way (ROW), stakeholder management, and project readiness for seamless execution. The incumbent will be the key driver in ensuring that all on-ground enablers—including land, access, community relations, and permits—are aligned with the project’s construction and commissioning timelines.Key Responsibilities: Project Delivery Leadership: Ensure Wind/Solar/Hybrid Farm development is delivered on-time, within budget, and at the desired quality, as committed to the client. Lead internal and external teams to drive seamless project execution from concept to commissioning. Land Acquisition & ROW Management: Take complete ownership of land acquisition for WTG locations, pooling substation, and transmission corridors. Proactively secure ROW for MV, EHV lines, access roads, and other project infrastructure to avoid delays and disputes. Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams—Land, Civil, Electrical, Logistics, Permits—to align all dependencies and ensure readiness for site mobilization, construction, and commissioning. Stakeholder & Community Engagement: Build and maintain excellent relations with local communities, landowners, district administration, land aggregators and other stakeholders to create an enabling environment for project execution. Liaison with Government & Regulatory Bodies: Liaise with state nodal agencies, DISCOMs, forest and revenue departments, and other regulatory authorities to secure approvals, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure statutory compliance. Execution Oversight: Monitor and drive progress across all streams: Civil infrastructure (roads, foundations) Electrical infrastructure (33 KV, EHV, PSS, USS) Logistics (PSS equipment, blade and turbine transportation and other major and project supplies) Grid connectivity (internal and external) Budgeting & Cost Control: Prepare, manage, and control project budgets. Implement cost control measures while ensuring value engineering and timely execution. Risk & Mitigation Management: Identify project risks—regulatory, social, environmental, execution-related—and formulate robust mitigation plans to prevent delays and ensure smooth progress. Environmental & Sustainability Focus: Ensure the integration of environmental best practices and sustainable development principles into planning and execution. Vendor & Resource Management: Oversee vendor selection, contract execution, and performance. Ensure adequate manpower planning and resource availability to meet Construction Operation Date (COD) targets. Key Result Areas (KRAs): Timely acquisition of land and ROW without legal or operational impediments COD achievement as per committed timelines Cost adherence and budget variance control Zero major disruptions due to land or community-related issues Regulatory and statutory compliance Cross-functional alignment and team performance
