Sales Lead – Working-Capital Solutions for Freight-Forwarding & LogisticsLocation: Mumbai (role covers Pan-India market)Role overviewWe are seeking an accomplished Sales & Business Development Lead with deep, first-hand knowledge of India’s freight-forwarding and logistics sector. Your mission is to spot, engage, and convert logistics-sector businesses that need working-capital financing, then nurture those relationships into long-term partnerships. You will own the entire sales funnel, shape go-to-market strategy, and act as the primary voice of the customer for our credit, product, and operations teams.Key responsibilitiesNew-client acquisition: Identify, prospect, and win freight forwarders, CHAs, transporters, 3PLs, and allied logistics firms that require working-capital lines or invoice-finance solutions.Relationship management: Build durable, senior-level relationships across finance, operations, and ownership groups; become a trusted advisor on working-capital and trade-finance matters.Market penetration: Design and execute scalable sales programmes across major trade hubs (Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, etc.) and key industry clusters.Partnership development: Forge alliances with trade associations, port & airport operators, customs brokers, and digital freight platforms to create referral pipelines and co-branded initiatives.Solution tailoring: Work closely with product, credit, and operations teams to structure bespoke funding solutions that align with client payment cycles and risk profiles.Market intelligence: Track competitive offerings, regulatory changes, and tech trends (incl. AI-driven supply-chain tools) to inform product road-maps and sales strategy.Ideal candidate profileExperience: 12–15 years in sales, business development, or key-account roles within freight forwarding, logistics, supply-chain finance, NBFC, or trade-finance fintechs.Industry expertise: In-depth understanding of freight-forwarding operations, credit pain-points, and cash-flow dynamics; well-developed network of decision-makers across the logistics ecosystem.Skills:Proven hunter mentality with a track record of closing ≥ ₹100 cr in annual working-capital or trade-finance volumes.Exceptional negotiation, consultative selling, and C-suite presentation skills.Ability to translate complex financing products into clear value propositions for operational teams.Mind-set: Entrepreneurial, data-driven, and comfortable in a high-growth, agile environment.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business / Logistics / Finance; MBA preferred.Travel: Willingness to travel extensively across India (~40-50 %).What we offerLeadership role with end-to-end ownership of India sales strategy.Opportunity to shape innovative financial products for an underserved sector.Performance-linked incentives and fast-track growth within a scaling organisation.Ready to transform how India’s logistics players fund their growth?
