In this role, you will help create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive environment where young girls can flourish.In addition to your pastoral responsibilities, strong communication skills in English are essential. Preference will be given to candidates who can also contribute academically in English or support projects requiring excellent communication expertise.Key Responsibilities:Pastoral Role:Serve as the primary caregiver and mentor to students, overseeing their emotional, academic, and behavioural welfare, and acting in loco parentis.Create a “home away from home” by fostering a safe, nurturing, and inclusive living environment.Support students in maintaining healthy daily routines, including wake-up times, meals, study periods, bedtime schedules, and ensuring adequate rest.Coordinate with medical staff to address health concerns, maintain accurate student health records, and supervise housekeeping standards through matrons and support staff.Build house spirit by organizing activities, celebrations, and inter-house events to enhance student engagement and camaraderie.Guide students towards developing confidence, independence, and a strong sense of responsibility.Act as a vital link between the school and parents, ensuring transparent and consistent communication.Academic Role (Preferred):Bachelor's or Master’s degree in English or a related field.High proficiency in reading, writing, and spoken English.Understanding of English language, literature, and grammar concepts.Ability to present complex ideas in an engaging, relatable manner.Experience Required:Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably as a House Parent/Warden in a boarding school setting.Proven teaching experience, ideally at the middle and secondary school levels, with familiarity in ISC, ICSE, or CIE curricula.Remuneration: We offer a competitive salary package commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with attractive additional benefits.
