Position Title: Business Development Manager – Business to Government (B2G) SalesLocation: ThaneDepartment: Business DevelopmentRole Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growthin the Business to Government (B2G) sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible foridentifying, nurturing, and closing opportunities with government clients while building long-termrelationships. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in governmentsales, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to navigate complex government procurementprocesses.Key Responsibilities: 1. Government Sales Strategy Development: ○ Develop and implement a strategic sales plan targeting government departments,ministries, and public sector organizations.○ Identify opportunities within government tenders, RFPs, and other procurementchannels.2. Client Relationship Management: ○ Establish and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders,decision-makers, and influencers.○ Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and offering tailoredsolutions.3. Business Growth: ○ Drive revenue growth by securing contracts and achieving sales targets in theB2G domain.○ Identify new opportunities and partnerships that align with organizationalobjectives.4. Proposal and Bid Management: ○ Lead the preparation of winning proposals, presentations, and tenders tailored togovernment requirements.○ Ensure compliance with government procurement regulations and policies.5. Market Research and Insights: ○ Stay updated on government policies, funding programs, and initiatives thatimpact the business.○ Analyze market trends, competition, and client feedback to refine strategies.6.Team Collaboration: ○ Work closely with cross-functional teams such as product development,marketing, and legal to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.○ Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members7.Reporting and Analysis: ○ Track and report sales performance, pipeline progress, and marketdevelopments to senior management.○ Use data to identify gaps and refine the approach.Key Requirements: ● Experience: 7-10 years of proven success in B2G sales or business development,preferably in industries such as IT, infrastructure, education, or public sector solutions.● Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, orrelated fields (MBA preferred).● Government Sales Expertise: In-depth understanding of government procurementprocesses, tendering, and contract management.● Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with theability to influence and negotiate effectively.● Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop innovativesolutions and drive results.● Tech-Savviness: Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and other sales software.● Networking Abilities: Ability to build and maintain a robust network of government andindustry contacts.● Flexibility: Willingness to travel for client meetings and government interactions asrequired.
