Reporting to the Manager of Privacy, Security, and risk, this role serves as a critical liaison between data stewards, privacy/legal stakeholders, and risk and compliance teams to operationalize key data governance and privacy practices. You will assist with privacy control assessments, data classification efforts, and records management workflows while ensuring business teams remain aligned with global data governance and privacy expectations.Primary Responsibilities: Privacy and Risk Operations Support : Assist in implementing and maintaining data privacy controls, records retention schedules, and supporting risk mitigation efforts. Policy and Compliance Execution : Support operationalizing governance policies, privacy frameworks (e.g., NIST Privacy Framework), and compliance procedures across domains. Stakeholder Enablement : Collaborate with privacy, legal, and technical teams to support records of processing activities (ROPA), access governance, and data classification efforts.Key Responsibilities: Participate in maintaining the organization’s data inventory and support privacy-by-design practices across business initiatives. Coordinate with the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) platform team to capture and track EDG-owned risk and mitigation efforts. Collaborate with Records Information Management (RIM) and data stewards to consistently apply record retention and destruction workflows. Provide input into privacy control requirement documentation, training content, and enterprise change adoption initiatives. Help prepare documentation for audits and regulatory inquiries by compiling evidence and ensuring traceability. To support operational workflows and reporting, utilize data governance and privacy tools (e.g., Collibra, OneTrust, ServiceNow IRM).Skill: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. 5-8 years of experience in data governance, privacy, risk management, or compliance roles. Familiarity with data protection regulations and frameworks such as GDPR/ NIST/ CCPA Privacy Framework, or ISO 27001. Experience supporting risk assessments, access governance, or privacy-by-design programs. Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with business and technical stakeholders.
