About the team and role: The operations delivery function is at the core of processing every customer financial transaction. It links risk management and control processes to help protect the organizations assets and reputation. Operations staff work closely with the other divisions – as well as external clients (as required) to help facilitate smooth delivery of business and fulfilment. This includes processing, servicing, accounting, reporting functions, and customer service. Communicates within the organization department managers/officers to promote efficient and correct workflow, establish positive working relationships across the organization/intra and inter departments. Key Responsibilities: Handle loan documentation, review, and day-to-day disbursements in a physical and digital lending environment. Streamline operational processes including underwriting, loan disbursals, and collections. Report loan data to stakeholders such as RBI, Credit Bureaus, and internal management. Act as a liaison between the company and its partners. Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly MIS for stakeholders. Manage the entire loan cycle from disbursal to collections. Coordinate with originators on disbursement schedules. Oversee day-to-day departmental operations. Maintain proficiency with loan software applications and ensure compliance with set guidelines. Analyze and prepare for periodic updates to system software, ensuring enhancements work correctly. Direct loan input and verification procedures. Process transactions related to loan operations including payments, payoffs, and escrow management. Manage post-disbursement documentation and external handoffs. Collaborate with Internal Auditors and Compliance Officers on audit and compliance issues. Keep lending staff updated on procedural changes. Conduct assessments and audits to ensure accurate department procedures. Develop and maintain reporting and application systems, coordinating with management. Manage CTQ (Critical to Quality) and CTP (Critical to Process) parameters. Handle transaction processing and technology exceptions, seeking timely resolution. Advise on changes to departmental SOPs as processes and products evolve. Educate team members on operational risks and ensure understanding of individual accountability. Conduct policy and process compliance audits. Maintain records of operations and transactions for future review. Review and prepare new customer contracts or internal business proposals. Support and train staff to build business awareness. Lead the transition and implementation of medium to large operations and processes. Ensure quality in operations output. Hard Skills: Graduate / Post-graduate with 4+ years experience in the financial services industry, including NBFCs, Banks, HFCs, MicroFin, or FinTechs, particularly in areas such as Retail or Institutional Lending, Supply Chain Finance, Trade Finance, Loans, or Debt Syndication. Financial literacy, understanding of P&L, ratios, and balance sheet analysis. Knowledge of retail and B2B lending products, co-lending operations structures, and supply chain financing products. Ability to analyze stock and financial statements, understand revolving credit lines, and apply financial knowledge to business scenarios. Analytical skills and attention to detail. Commercial acumen and industry analysis skills. Numerical skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite. Soft Skills: Emotional intelligence and the ability to relate to team roles. Planning and organizational skills. Understanding of broader business issues and the ability to apply operational changes accordingly. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
