The ideal candidate will have a strong background in open-source and enterprise software development, proven leadership experience managing large technology teams (30+ people), and deep expertise in delivering cross-platform solutions.The VP of Technology will be responsible for driving the company's technology vision, overseeing product and platform development, scaling systems, and building high-performance teams to enable rapid growth and innovation.Key Responsibilities:- Define and drive the company’s technology strategy in alignment with business goals. - Lead and mentor engineering, product development, and IT teams (30+ team members across multiple disciplines). - Oversee the design, development, and deployment of open-source and enterprise-grade software solutions. - Manage development and integration of cross-platform applications (web, mobile, cloud, and desktop environments). - Establish and enforce best practices for software engineering, DevOps, quality assurance, and security. - Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to prioritize and deliver high-quality software products. - Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to maintain technological leadership. - Drive architectural decisions, including scalability, maintainability, and performance optimization. - Build a strong technology culture emphasizing innovation, ownership, continuous learning, and high performance. - Manage budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships for technology operations. - Act as a key spokesperson for technology initiatives internally and externally (partners, clients, and industry events).Required Qualifications:- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 15+ years of technology experience with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role. - Strong background in open-source technologies and enterprise software architecture. - Strong technical proficiency in modern software development technologies and frameworks, including Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Docker, etc. - Experience managing and scaling teams of 30+ engineers and technology professionals. - Proven expertise with cross-platform development (web, mobile, desktop, and cloud solutions). - Deep understanding of system architecture, microservices, APIs, cloud-native development (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern DevOps practices. - Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. - Demonstrated ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives and deliver measurable results.Preferred Skills:- Experience with SaaS platforms, open-core business models, or hybrid software deployment models. - Exposure to cybersecurity standards and compliance frameworks. - Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures. - Contribution to open-source projects or active participation in tech communities is a plus.
