Engagement Manager/Senior Engagement ManagerPosition Overview: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven AVP/ SAVP with a strong background in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), retail operations, and data analytics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading data-driven initiatives, driving growth through strategic retail partnerships, and optimizing business performance through actionable insights. You will lead a team of analytics professionals and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that our CPG and retail strategies are supported by robust data, analytics, and insights.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Retail & CPG Leadership: Lead the development and execution of retail and CPG strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives. Collaborate with senior leadership to define key business objectives and design data-driven strategies to achieve them. Drive the strategic direction and innovation in retail partnerships, ensuring alignment with business goals. Establish strong relationships with key retail partners and stakeholders to enhance collaboration and optimize performance. Analytics & Data-Driven Decision Making: Oversee the development of analytical models, forecasting tools, and reporting frameworks to provide actionable insights into retail and CPG performance. Drive the use of data analytics to optimize product placement, pricing strategies, promotions, and customer segmentation. Utilize advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modeling, market basket analysis, and customer behavior analysis to inform retail strategies and decision-making. Ensure that key performance metrics (KPIs) are tracked, monitored, and reported consistently across all channels. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure alignment and integration of analytics into business processes. Serve as the key analytics partner in the development of go-to-market strategies and new product launches in the CPG and retail space. Guide teams in the use of analytics and insights to influence key decisions, from pricing strategies to inventory management. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of analysts, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Manage cross-functional projects and ensure timely delivery of high-impact insights and recommendations. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creative problem-solving and data-driven decision-making. Industry Knowledge & Trends: Stay up-to-date on CPG and retail industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics. Anticipate changes in the retail landscape and consumer behavior, providing proactive recommendations to adapt strategies accordingly. Leverage knowledge of the competitive landscape to identify new opportunities for growth and optimization.Qualifications: Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. Experience:8+ years of experience in CPG, retail, and analytics, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or management role.Skills & Expertise: Strong experience in CPG and retail operations, including sales, merchandising, and pricing strategy. Advanced knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Python, R, etc.) and statistical modeling techniques. Expertise in retail performance analytics, customer segmentation, and predictive analytics. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and stakeholders. Experience with digital transformation initiatives in the CPG/retail space is a plus.Key Competencies: Strong leadership and team-building abilities. Deep understanding of the CPG and retail industries, including current market trends and challenges. High-level proficiency in analytics and ability to translate data insights into strategic actions. Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to execution. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
