Fretlog, a subsidiary of Arkas Logistics, is looking to fill a Manager – Air Freight vacancy in Mumbai, Govandi.The ideal candidate should possess experience and strong knowledge in carrier relationship management, business development, pricing strategies, and air freight operations.The Manager – Air Freight position is to lead and manage the air freight division by building strong carrier relationships, driving business development, optimizing pricing strategies, and ensuring efficient operational execution. The role is responsible for achieving profitability, maintaining service excellence, and contributing to the company’s overall growth in the air freight segment.Main Responsibilities:- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the air freight domain, - Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key accounts - Collaborate with the sales team to meet revenue targets and expand customer base. - Provide market intelligence, trends, and competitor insights. - Participate in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations. - Oversee end-to-end air freight operations, ensuring timely and accurate shipments. - Lead, train, and mentor the air freight team to achieve operational and commercial goals. - Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers for competitive advantages.Qualifications:- University degree or suitable equivalent - Minimum 8-10 years of work experience as a Freight Forwarder - MS Office programs - Excellent problem-solving abilities - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Outstanding people skills.
