Job Responsibilities-Lead the technical aspects and responsible in deliveries of the Value Engineering activities and Design changes for the product lines of Lennox Lead Tear down and Bench marking (competitive) for global Locations to generate the ideas for cost out Strong Expertise in Should Cost / Cost Estimation / Cycle Time Calculation of Mechanical Components like Sheet Metal, Plastics, Die Cast & Machined Component Strong Knowledge on Materials, Machines, Labor, Routings, Overheads and Manufacturing Processes Expertise & Deep knowledge in SAP, Transactional codes & maintaining BI reports Knowledge on VAVE Methodology, FAST Diagram, Function Cost Worth Analysis Develop Cost models for existing or new manufacturing process Lead the team to translate design concepts into realistic products that meet the quality and product specification as well as cost down requirements, budget, and timeline requirements Must be responsible for Design Development and implementation of Ideas considering Cost, Manufacturability, Serviceability, Regulatory Compliance, CODE requirements & safety Must be responsible for preparing the Business case for the cost out projects Perform DFMEA, PPAP’s, DFMA as required Cost estimation of sheet metal, plastic and purchased parts Identify the low-cost suppliers as an alternate Lead the Value Engineering projects in Stage Gate, DP meetings Perform effort estimation for mechanical design based on requirements Bring innovation for time to market reduction and within the cost targets Comply with product development process and design standards Work closely with Cross functional teams (Manufacturing, Marketing, Sourcing, Testing...Etc.) to move products from design to manufacturing Prepare alternate design concept models and drawings using Creo and Solid Edge Review of 2D/3D designs to ensure compliance to standards and best practices Develop Design Guidelines Lead structural design and calculation activities - FBD etc. Drive Product Qualification, Testing Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionRequired SkillsSound knowledge in Value Analysis and Value Engineering Experience in Handling E2E Material cost reduction Good Exposure in Gate Process & DP Process Must have a high-level knowledge of Project Management with Mechanical Engineering knowledge Expertise in the application of knowledge of engineering principles pertaining to development of new designs, methods, materials, or processes Proficient in DFXs - Manufacturing, Assembly, and Its process…etc. Should be able to leverage engineering partners and consultants for the best benefit of India R&D Center Experience in Design tools such as Creo, Solid Edge... Experience in SAP (Material Master…) Experience in PLM (Windchill, Teamcenter…etc.)Preferred SkillsCertification in Value Engineer is preferred Data Analytics and Visualization is preferred Experience in product testing Exposure on Electrical design and component selection Knowledge on Material selection Knowledge on Reliability models
