Job Description

Key Responsibilities:1. Supply Chain Strategy & Planning:- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives. - Optimize procurement, inventory management, and distribution processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. - Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement. - Collaborate with senior management to define supply chain goals and ensure alignment with overall business strategies.2. Procurement & Vendor Management:- Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and services required for pump manufacturing. - Develop and maintain relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery. - Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve the best pricing, quality, and service terms. - Identify and onboard new suppliers to expand the vendor base and mitigate supply risks. - Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.3. Inventory & Warehouse Management:- Ensure optimal inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts. - Implement effective inventory control measures, including cycle counts and regular audits. - Supervise warehouse operations to streamline storage, picking, and dispatching processes. - Implement and monitor FIFO (First In, First Out) and other inventory management practices.4. Logistics & Distribution:- Oversee the logistics and transportation network to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products. - Optimize route planning and freight management to minimize transportation costs. - Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations for exports.5. Team Leadership & Development:- Lead and mentor the supply chain team, including purchasing managers, warehouse staff, and logistics coordinators. - Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and identify training and development needs. - Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.6. Compliance & Risk Management:- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and company policies. - Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies. - Oversee supplier audits and quality checks to maintain product integrity.Required Skills & Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred). - Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, specifically in the pump industry. - Proven track record of optimizing supply chain operations and reducing costs. - Expertise in ERP systems, procurement software, and supply chain management tools. - Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.Preferred Attributes:- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into supply chain strategies. - Proficiency in inventory management systems and data analytics. - Ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines under pressure. - Hands-on experience with pump manufacturing processes is a plus.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):- Supplier performance metrics (on-time delivery, quality compliance). - Inventory turnover ratio and accuracy. - Cost savings achieved through procurement strategies. - Lead time reduction and order fulfillment rate. - Compliance with regulatory standards.
